I am a licensed Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Herbalist, originally from Korea however I have been lucky enough to have lived in the beautiful New Zealand for the past 18 years. I was drawn to Oriental Medicine such as Acupuncture, Specialty Acupuncture Massage & Chinese Herbal Medicine through my childhood experiences with own family primarily my mother and father treating them for sprained ankles, back/knee pain, digestion problems and so on. One of my sisters also took Chinese Herbal Medicine postnatally to boost her vital energy (Qi) and revitalise her blood to help with recovery.
Education
I spent 4 years training for my Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) and 3 years for the Diploma of Chinese Herbal Medicine as a Chinese medicine at New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have learned included the basic knowledge of western medicine, anatomy of body, Theory of acupuncture and TCM and holistic way of diagnosis and its treatment. During the study, I Completed International Traditional Chinese Medicine training course at Southern Medical University in China 2016. It was a big opportunity for me to open the bigger picture for holistic medicine.
Career and Professional Achievement
I was volunteering acupuncture treating patients in Fi Ji for two weeks (Missionary trip) in 2016. I volunteered treating patients in Community Clinic at New Zealand School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine once a week 2017.
Through my own experiences, I have a very special interest in emotional issues such as anxiety, depress and period mood swings and sleeping problems and pain management ie: back/neck, knee pain, headaches and more.
I also offer therapeutic massage using Acupuncture Meridian Massage, Cupping techniques and/or
with the support of Chinese Herbal Medicine as well.
